How to Make Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans

Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans
Chocolate covered espresso beans, as the name implies, are coffee beans rolled in chocolate. The chocolate gives the beans a rich milky texture, while keeping the strong bitter taste of coffee. This combination of flavors makes this candy a coffee lover’s favorite.
Where to buy
Chocolate coffee beans can be purchased either from a coffee store or from an online seller. Where to buy is your personal choice. Both types of store offer a wealth of chocolate covered espresso beans options; the major difference is that you will get to personally see the products if you opt to buy from a physical store as opposed to online shopping where the products can only be seen in pictures.
But if you wish to buy from an online store, remember to pick a credible and trustworthy seller. Check that the online transactions are secured and that your personal details are protected.
How to make
If you are a little experimental and want to make your own chocolate covered beans, here’s the good news: It’s pretty easy! All you need are good quality coffee beans (my personal favorite are Kenya beans) and chocolate of your choice.
Start by roasting your coffee beans in a baking sheet. After that, melt your chocolate in a pot of boiling water. Stir the chocolate until it is thick and smooth.
Now, drop the coffee beans into the pot. Spoon them out and spread them over a baking sheet covered with wax paper. Make sure each coffee bean is entirely covered with chocolate. If you want, you can first put the beans on the baking sheet before pouring the liquid chocolate over.
Set aside the coffee beans until the chocolate coating hardens. It usually takes overnight. If you want it done fast, you can freeze the coffee beans.
Enjoy the flavor
Chocolate covered espresso beans are great dessert treats. Eat them as they are, or if you want to add flavor to your coffee, just dunk them into your cup.
